GDPR

The GDPR is The General Data Protection Regulation and came into force on the 25th May 2018, replacing the existing data protection framework under the EU Data Protection Directive.

From time to time Kilrush Credit Union would like to notify you of products, services, competitions and/or promotional offers you can avail of from us. Having accurate marketing permissions to be able to communicate these to you is part of being GDPR compliant.

The age of consent for receiving financial marketing communications in Ireland is 18 years of age.

You choosing e-marketing options enables us as a Credit Union, to save money on printing & postage costs as well as helping the environment by communicating electronically with you whenever possible.

When you join, every member states their marketing communication preferences and consents at time of joining and they are updated on our system in the branch that they join in.

In addition to marketing, there are certain communications which we are obliged to send you. Examples of these are; your statements, AGM notice & packs as well as any other mandatory statutory information or packs. Choosing to receive these by email will help save the environment and will also represent a significant cost saving for your Credit Union.
