Kilrush Credit Union Launches 2026 Community Fund

Kilrush Credit Union is delighted to announce the launch of its 2026 Community Fund, opening for applications on 2nd March 2026.

The Community Fund was established to support local organisations and voluntary groups delivering meaningful, measurable impact across our common bond. Through this initiative, Kilrush Credit Union continues its long-standing commitment to cooperation, inclusion, and community development.

The fund supports new and proposed projects that strengthen shared spaces, promote participation, and enhance wellbeing within our communities.

Funding Categories

Applications are welcomed across a broad range of areas, including:

• Community Development

• Youth Engagement

• Sport & Physical Activity

• Arts & Culture

• Environmental Sustainability

• Education & Training

• Health & Wellbeing

• Social Enterprise & Innovation

Two funding streams are available:

• Standard Community Fund – for projects seeking up to €5,000

• Strategic Impact Fund – for larger-scale initiatives seeking over €5,000 that demonstrate exceptional community impact

The closing date for applications is 1st June 2026, and all submissions will be reviewed in accordance with the fund’s published Terms & Conditions.

Fair, Transparent and Accountable

To ensure fairness and consistency for all applicants, projects must meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the Community Fund Terms & Conditions. In particular, funding is awarded to new or proposed projects only, and applications must comply with all governance, financial, and reporting requirements.
