Kilrush Credit Union Sponsors Studyclix Access for Over 450 Local Students
Opening Doors for Local Students: New Studyclix Partnership Launched
Kilrush Credit Union has strengthened its long-standing commitment to education and youth development by sponsoring full access to Studyclix for every student in Kilrush Community School and Kilkee Community College. More than 450 students across West Clare will benefit from the initiative, which aims to support effective study, confidence-building and exam preparation.
The partnership was officially launched last week, as teams from Kilrush Credit Union and Studyclix visited both schools to meet with students and deliver study-skills presentations. The sessions gave pupils a hands-on introduction to the platform and demonstrated how its tools can help them manage subjects, track progress and prepare for upcoming exams.
Studyclix is one of the most widely used study platforms in Ireland, trusted by over 170,000 students and 90% of second-level teachers. The platform breaks each subject into topics, pairing them with past exam questions, marking schemes, quizzes, tutorial videos and sample answers — making the study process clearer, structured and easier to approach.
This sponsorship was arranged through the Studyclix Sponsor A School Programme, which connects organisations with local schools to ensure equal access to high-quality digital learning supports. For Kilrush Credit Union, the decision to sponsor both secondary schools reflects its ongoing mission to invest directly in the educational and personal development of young people within its common bond.
Speaking about the partnership, Fiona Walsh, CEO of Kilrush Credit Union said “Kilrush Credit Union is proud to work alongside our community to create opportunities that last well beyond the classroom. By investing in resources like Studyclix, we’re helping to build skills and confidence that will shape the future for young people in our area for years to come."
Schools welcomed the initiative, noting the positive impact it will have on students during a critical period of their academic journeys.
Agnes Hehir, principal of Kilkee Community College said"Studyclix offers students of St Joseph's Community College, Kilkee, a fantastic opportunity to build upon the learning that happens in our school on a daily basis. Our students find the past exam questions and taking quizzes very interactive, effective and beneficial, it helps them revise and test their knowledge preparing for exams more efficiently. Visual learners are also finding the tips and video aspect of Studyclix really helpful. The school is delighted to partner with Studyclix. We are very grateful for the community support and generous sponsorship of full access for all students provided to our school by Kilrush Credit Union. Their support makes a real difference to enhancing teaching and learning in our school.”
Aisling Haugh, career guidance teacher of Kilrush Community School said "Studyclix provides our students with an outstanding tool to build on classroom learning. It's a fun, engaging way for Junior Cycle students to revise; our First Years particularly love the topic quiz feature. Senior Cycle students are delighted with the comprehensive study skills training provided by Studyclix and will certainly approach exams in the coming months with a sense of confidence and assurance that whatever obstacles they encounter, there is a tool to help solve the problem!"
Speaking at the event, Anna O’Sullivan, Schools Sales Manager with Studyclix, said: "We are always delighted to welcome a new partner on board to our ‘Sponsor A School’ programme. Kilrush Credit Union has been a natural fit, as we have found with many credit unions around Ireland that provide local schools with access to Studyclix. By sponsoring these two schools, Kilrush Credit is giving students access to 40,000+ past exam questions, 20,000+ quiz questions, and 3,000+ sample answers and tutorials. We know this access has a huge impact, as on average, Studyclix Premium users score over 510 points in their Leaving Certificate. Sponsorships like these help students achieve their dream courses and open doors for the students involved.”
Speaking after the launch, Kilrush Credit Union emphasised that this initiative goes beyond academic support; it represents a broader commitment to ensuring local young people have every opportunity to learn, grow and succeed.
As students log on over the coming weeks, begin exploring topics and engage with new study habits, the partnership is set to make a meaningful contribution to their learning experience — helping them feel more prepared, more confident and more supported.
Kilrush Credit Union is proud to play its part in building strong foundations for the next generation and wishes all students the very best in their studies for the year ahead.
