Supporting Local Farming – Cultivate Week 2026

29 April 2026

Supporting Local Farming – Cultivate Week 2026

Cultivate Week may have come to a close, but the conversations, connections and support for local farming continue.

From 20th to 26th April, Cultivate Week highlighted the important role farming plays in our community and the ways we can support farmers at every stage of their journey.

A Day at the Mart

As part of the week, we were delighted to spend Wednesday 22nd April at Kilrush mart, meeting and chatting with farmers from across the area.

It was a valuable opportunity to hear directly from the community, discuss current challenges and share how we can support farming in a practical and flexible way.

On the day, we also ran a “Guess the Weight” competition, which brought great engagement and plenty of good-natured competition. Congratulations to our winner, who correctly guessed the winning weight of 545kg.

Community Engagement

We also brought the fun online, running a social media competition to guess the combined weight of two heifers — which came in at an impressive 830kg combined.

Thank you to everyone who took part both in person and online — it was great to see such strong engagement throughout the week.

Supporting Farmers All Year Round

While Cultivate Week is a great opportunity to connect, our support for farmers continues all year round through our Agri Loans.

Our loans are designed to support a wide range of farming needs, including:

  • Stocking
  • Farm machinery
  • Cashflow
  • General farm investment

Members can borrow up to €100,000 over 10 years, with flexible repayment options tailored to suit your needs.

Local, Flexible, Supportive

We pride ourselves on offering a friendly, professional service, with:

  • Competitive rates
  • Quick turnaround times
  • A straightforward application process

Our experienced Agri Loans team is here to guide you every step of the way, helping you choose the option that works best for your needs.

Loan protection insurance is also available at no extra cost to qualifying members, offering added peace of mind.

Looking Ahead

Cultivate Week is a reminder of the strength of our local farming community and the importance of working together.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with us, enter our competitions and engage with us throughout the week. We look forward to continuing those conversations in the months ahead.
